The Wag Doll Protocol, Eating Clean & Looking Lean

Hey lovelies!

I realise it’s a few weeks since I’ve written a blog article, you guys know how it is, real life intrudes upon the wonderful world of blogging and creating. I have a couple of sewing projects completed and ready to write up, so these will be posted in the next few weeks.

But I do want to tell you about a new project I’m involved in, which I’m so excited about. I’ve been offered a part in an independent short film!….insert equal amounts of ‘yippee!’ & ‘eek!’ here.

The film is still in early pre-production, but the team behind it are working incredibly hard and it’s all systems go. This weekend I attended a photoshoot for costume fitting and props, which has made the whole project suddenly very real….again, insert equal amounts of ‘yippee!’ and ‘eek!’ here. I hope to share some of these photos with you soon.

Without giving too much away, the nature of the role and costumes means I want to tone up, shift some pounds, improve my fitness and look good. This time just insert ‘eek!’

So over the next few months I’ll be stepping up my usual fitness routine, and putting into practice my way of toning up and losing weight through healthy eating and bodyweight exercise. I’ll share some recipes with you, my workouts and how I’m (hopefully) improving. This is my personal journey and all opinions are my own, I'm not an expert as I consider health, fitness and nutrition to be lifelong learning experience, I just want to share my progress with you. I love reading about healthy eating and how other people fit exercise into their busy lives, so feel free to link to your blogs or post comments, links, hints and tips, I’ll need all the help and encouragement I can get!

I'm building up the courage to do an initial starting point blog post so I can track how much I've improved, although not sure I'm ready to put a 'before' pic online yet?!

Don’t worry, I’m still sewing and will continue to blog about the highs and lows of my sewing journey. Reading back through my posts I also remembered how much I enjoyed sharing my beauty products review with you guys, so I’m going to explore this topic further too.

My Wag Doll blog is about various aspects of my life, what inspires and motivates me, what I’m loving and my current obsessions, I realise that everyone is different so I hope I don’t alienate any of my sewing buddies, just feel free to dip into the posts that interest you personally.

Who knows, I might even be able to link all my interests together, sewing up some new fitness gear perhaps?!

That's so exciting. Will look forwards to reading about your journey. Funny you should post this now as I've just started a couch to 5k challenge and I posted yesterday inviting people to guest post on my blog. Take a look at the post called "extending an invitation" and see if you fancy it. Would be lovely to feature you xx

Thanks missis for your continued support, as a fellow blogger I know you'll understand the dilemma I had in whether to expand the topics I cover. 5k in 9 weeks, wow you're one brave lady! I'll try and come up with some ideas for your invite :-) x

Thanks biscuits, oooh your name is a temptation! I'm glad I'm not the only one out there wanting to put their journey out in the internet, I'm hoping it will motivate me. I have similar goals to yours too! x

Congratulations on the part.

Looking forward to reading about your health and fitness journey because of the easy way your blog reads. Also love reading other peoples recipes as I hate meal planning!

Reading this book at the moment http://www.amazon.co.uk/New-Rules-Lifting-For-Women/dp/1583332944 which you might find useful/interesting.

Thanks biscuits, I'm on a steep learning curve with the recipes and meal adaptations! Ta for the book info, hope your weight training is going well, it def is the quickest way to make a difference to your shape. I'm aiming to be able to do unassisted pull-ups & dips but gawd is it hard!!

Are you on facebook? Look for Eat, Lift and Be Happy and also Girls Gone Strong. Great motivational articles, exercise tips and also yummy recipes.

Unassisted chin ups are my goal this year. Losing a stone or 2 would probably help but I am a biscuit addict.

Thanks yes will check out the FB pages. Yes I'd noticed on your blog that you also want to do pull ups yippee! Hope you're gonna blog about how your getting on please! I used to be able to do unassisted dips many years ago when I was much younger and fitter, but have never been able to do pull-ups. So far I'm concentrating on assisting myself to the top of the lift (with a chair lol) and then holding that as long as possible and slowly lowering to try and build some strength in the relevant muscles. Doesnt help I don't have a proper pull-up bar!
